Alaa Al-Din Al-Rashi is a Syrian writer and researcher, born in Damascus in 1974. He belongs to a Damascene family of Kurdish origin. He obtained a PhD in Islamic Studies from Aris University in the United States in 2013. Al-Rashi is known for his reformist writings that combine depth and accuracy, and he is considered an advocate of moderation in Islamic thought. He has co-authored books with prominent thinkers such as Dr. Abdul Karim Bakkar and has written about influential figures like Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghazali and Dr. Ali Al-Wardi.
